Infinitum Guitars

The Infinitum is the flagship model for Sefton Guitars. Although new models and series are in design, the Infinitum delivers tradition in a modern sleek build.

About the Standard Series and The Custom Series.

The Standard Series:
The Standard Series offers your choice of alder, ash, poplar or mahogany for the body and maple or mahogany for the neck.

The standard fingerboard options are ebony, rosewood, maple and pau ferro. Other woods can be considered as well for a nominal up-charge.

The Custom Series:
The Custom Series opens the door to unlimited options regarding wood choices. Beautiful exotic wood tops such as paduak, zebra, wenge, curly ambrosia maple etc… are all considered.

Exotic wood necks are offered and can offer stability without a finish allowing you to literally feel the wood as you play. Binding and purfling are an option and the unique look of aluminum and ebony together are a trademark of Sefton Guitars.

Both the Standard and Custom series share the same basic spec:

Nut width: 1 5/8″
Scale length: 25.5″
Fretboard radius: 12″
Neck profile: Standard (.800 at 1st fret / .850 at 12th fret)
Frets: Nickel jumbo (.110 high x .053 wide)
Fret markers/inlay: Aluminum side dots and aluminum 12th fret “Infinitum”
Nut material: Tusq self lubricating (black)
Truss rod: Dual-action
Tuners: Sperzel Trim Lok
Bridge: Schaller hard tail roller(top loading)
Strap buttons: Dunlop (locking)
Pickup configuration: Direct mounted dual humbuckers (neck and bridge)
Pickups: Seymour Duncan (custom custom in bridge, Seymour Duncan ’59 in neck)
Pickup rings: Ebony or anodized aluminum
Wiring: Volume, 3 way toggle, 6 position “tone sculptor” tone control

We offer “tried and true” passive-style electronics including a single volume control, direct-mounted dual Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups, three way toggle and what we refer to as a tone sculpting rotary switch instead of the usual tone pot. It’s our opinion that the tone sculptor switch allows for more tonal options than a standard tone control but either may be installed upon request.

Finishes
Finishes such as Tru Oil, nitrocellulose lacquer, wipe on poly etc… enhance the unique beauty of the wood and offer protection against the elements. All of our finishes are applied in thin, light coats and in time will gracefully show their age. A warm patina, natural scuff and wear marks will tell the story of your own musical journey.

When spec’ing out the guitar of your dreams it’s entirely possible that you may end up between the basic Standard and the full-blown Custom Series and we look forward to accommodating your requests.
